This listing is for a beautiful old vintage antique quilt. You are bidding on this beautiful eye catching quilt. It is in extra nice shape for its age. The colors are still vibrant. It is made with hexagons grouped together in this pattern. It measures 72 inches by 80 inches. It is in very good condition with only minor flaws. T is a worn place that can be seen in the picture, but it is not worn all the way through. A couple of places can be seen in the picture with slightly frayed sections. Over all you could say that it is hard to find a quilt that is this old and in this good of condition. The quilt is very soft. This would look great as a decor item hanging on a wall, on a quilt stand or draped over a chair or sofa. The pattern is one of the best loved quilts, the Grandmother's Flower Garden. Each piece of the pattern is a hexagon. These are very labor intensive so most people don't quilt this pattern any more. Grandmother's flower quilts bring to mind the Great Depression Quilts of the 1930's. We can imagine many grandmother's busily sewing together on of these lovely quilts using scraps from her scrap basket. Maybe several women would come together for a sewing bee.
