This is a 1954 edition of a very comprehensive collection by the Encyclopaedia Britannica. The set is complete and consists of 54 volumes. All are leather bound and come in the original mahogany bookcase. Also included is the University of Chicago Home Study first course which provides a study course for the Great Books. The Great Ideas Family Participation Plan is also included. The entire set is in good condition with some slight wear to the top edge of the front bindings on a limited number of volumes. If local pick up can be arranged, I would part with these volumes for $400
