Don't settle for anything less than perfect. This old vintage cigar-cigarette-pipe lighter is new in its box. The old bad thing I can find is that the inside box has a tear down one side and t are a couple of scuffed corners to the lid. The lid is picture one. Even the box has a smaller inside box that holds the cord. It is all t! Rare!

Now the box gives the following information:

1) "Distributed by Marshall Field & Company, Wholesale Dept. No. 25, Chicago, ILL. No. 1009"

2) "Directions. Attach plug to any electric socket, turn lighter upside down and it is automaticlly ready for use. Set down and it is automatically out. ALWAYS READY WHEN YOU WANT IT. No fluid to refill..No buttons to push..No carbon to replace..Completely automatic..completely electrical"

3) Made by "Majestic..automatic..electric cigar lighter..all electric..fully automatic for cigar, pipe or cigarette. Pat Pending"

4) "A useful and beautiful cigar lighter for home or office"

The glass ball has brown swirls through it. It weighs just over a pound and is 2 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" wide. It stands on three legs. EVERYTHING IS MINT--no scratches, mars, chips, dents. The lighter end does not even show any discoloration from heat. It does work. I believe this has been stored ever since someone bought it. If it wasn't that the inside box is a little weak for the weight of the ball, and thus ripped when someone started to pick it up, it is a great piece to sit on someone's desk or office. No one today would know that it was anything but a decorative ball.

I noticed now that at the very base of the lighter w the cord goes inside it, t is ever so little fraying of the insulated cord. I mention it only to be sure to tell everything about it.
