VinTaGE GREEN VaSeLine DEPRESSION FedeRal Corded OpTic GlaSSes This is an absolutely beautiful green vaseline depression glass set of seven glasses for lemonade , tea or juice. The glasses measure 5âe tall, 2 1⁄2âe at the top and 2âe at the base. It is a wonderful spiral design which almost looks hand blown but I believe it is a machine blown glass. It is similar to some of the spiral depression designs but I believe it to be the Federal Glass Co. Corded Optic made in 1929. The auction includes 7 glasses which are in great condition. Because this is vintage glass and not new, t are natural imperfections in the glass. One of the glasses does have what Iâe(tm)d call a manufacture flaw. T is a tiny piece of material (looks like sand) which is molded into the side of the glass. Shown in one of the pictures. Another glass has a tiny rough edge which is worth mentioning just because it is t It looks like it may have been a flaw as well..possibly a bubble just under the edgee on the outside. I try to feel the items rather that just exam visually. It is very small and I believe it could smooth out with a fine metal sand paper. The other glasses seem fine. All seem somewhat fragile in my opinion compared to the matching pitcher. It is a much heavier and thicker blown glass than the glasses. The glass definitely has uranium content read more
