Listed here is a vintage Gretsch drum kit. The drum kit was purchases by the original owner in 1960...played for a year or two then put away. The kit is 100% totalally original... right down to the heads! The set is wrapped in the orignla blue sparkle. The wraps are nice and tight with tight seams...The rack tom has some very slight lift, but nothing I could catch in a photo. The set is a factory matched kit that consists of a 3-ply 9x13" rack tom...3-ply 14x22" bass drum...and 6-ply 16x16" floor tom. All of the shells have silver sealer interiors without Gretsch labels. The bearing edges are all excellent. There are no extra holes in any of the shells and absolute zero fade to the wraps...see photos. The chrome is all in excellent condition and the tom rims are all die cast. The only wear on the bass drum hoops are were the pedal was attached...they are still excellent with nice shiny black paint. The rack tom and the bass drum have the original calf skin heads, while the floor tom has the original plastic heads. This is the nicest Gretsch blue sparkle kit I have come across. It is a true closet find. The original grease is still on the tension rods! You will have a hard time trying to find a nicer one.
