. We have for your viewing pleasure an antique GRISWOLD cast iron waffle iron ( maker ). On the top of both sides in embossed lettering in the center it has the name GRISWOLD with their logo block and all the following is also embossed: AMERICAN No. 8 PATT, No. 151 THE GRISWOLD MFG. CO. ERIE, PA., U.S.A. PAT'D JULY 11, 1922. The handles are round wire spring type to dispense the heat from handling. Underneath the low base it is stamped THE GRISWOLD MFG. CO. ERIE, PA., U.S.A. NO. 8 PATT. 154. The base is in good condition with no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs as is the irons themselves. The metal is in its natural aged used patina.
