Very Good Condition GTE Autoelectric Payphone This auction is for a very good condition GTE Autoelectric three coin slot, rotary dial payphone. This phone has been in the top of a closet at my mother's house for nearly twenty years. I dated a girl in the late eighties whose grandfather owned the Fulton Telephone Company in Fulton, MS. When they replaced all the the rotary dial payphones with newer models her father kept the best ones. Years later he gave me this phone for my college apartment. I never got around to installing it and it has been in a closet at my mom's house ever since. This phone has not been passed around like so many for sale. It has a few scratches from when it was in use but is in very good overall condition as it was one of a few selected to be saved. It still has the info sheet from the Fulton Telephone Company in the frame. You probably cant read it from the photo but call were only ten cents. The instructions say to use "two nickles" or "one dime". The original phone number card is also still in the center of the dial and the coin box key is included. If you are looking for a genuine payphone for your gameroom, bar, or antique phone booth, you won't find a better piece.
