Fabulous and unusual vintage novelty radio made of wood (maple I think), ivory porcelain and brass, in the shape of a tea kettle, which was made by Guild and is marked as shown, and I think dates back to the 1950's or 60's. Measures approximately 10 1/2" wide with spout, 13" tall to the top of the handle, has on/off and tuning knobs under the hinged lid, and takes a square 9 volt battery as shown. I think that this has one band...am I think, but not being an expert, this is just my guess. Maybe someone out t can confirm whether or not I'm correct. The battery needs to be replaced, so I have not been able to test it for you, but I presume that it works, and it appears to be in very good condition with some light crazing to the porcelain components, but no chips or cracks. An unusual and rare find! Be sure to check out my other auctions for more great items, and remember, combined auctions will save on shipping and handling charges. If shipping outside the US, please contact us for a shipping quote. Money orders, cashier's checks, personal checks, and PayPal will be accepted as payment.
