LOCKET FOR JEWELRY MAKING!!! THESE PIECES WERE AQUIRED FROM AN ESTATE, THEY WERE HAND PAINTED AT F.J. COOPER & SON IN ATTLEBORO MASSACHUSETTS. UNTIL THE COMPANY CLOSED DOWN MANY YEARS AGO. IF YOU NEED A DIFFERENT SIZE OR SHAPE, SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS! I HAVE MANY MORE OF THESE LITTLE BEAUTIES. VINTAGE HANDPAINTED ENAMEL OF THIS QUALITY IS HARD TO FIND!!! Guilloche' Enamel roses were popular throughout the 20th century. Many of these pieces were made in 40's - 1950s and earlier.
Pastel hand painted enamel was applied over smooth or machine engraved decorative metal. The translucent enamel is accented by the metal design underneath which adds dimension, pattern & depth.
