A very unique and utterly charming finger-ring compact featuring beautifully detailed silver trim over the baby blue guilloche enamel that surrounds the white/cream guilloche panel in the middle, which is then highlighted by a hand-painted purple and yellow pansy with its green foliage! The baby blue, or sky blue guilloche is in a wave pattern, and the cream/white guilloche is in a checkerboard pattern. A very complex decor that would certainly add a spot of cheer to your collection of vintage compacts, or displayed among your vintage purses! The back of this compact is beautifully designed and decorated as well in a silver color metal. Centered, you'll find a detailed flower, which is surrounded by a ray type design with a wavy pattern. This is turn, is edged by a detailed border, highlighted at the corners. I do not see any marks anyw and would assume this is not sterling. Not knowing much about these vintage compacts, I'll do my best to describe the inside of this darling little treasure. One side has a powder well which, when you push down on the "bump" in the middle, disperses the powder. T is no puff. The other side has a crescent moon shaped mirror, which does have some small age damage. This is not bad and you can certainly see your reflection in it.
