Vintage Hafler Audio DH-200 2 Channel Stereo Power Amplifier Mosfet Hafler's DH-200 stereo power amp is a neat, relatively small black box containing two 100W into 8 ohm rated stereo channels - no frills or embellishments, just the basic necessities. It was the first American production amplifier to use complementary MOSFETs in its output stage, for a signature airy, sweet delivery. Heavy duty transformer for relaxed handling of heavy loads. If you want muscle and nuance, this Hafler will deliver in spades. Dependable, and built to last many years. David Hafler, one of the recognized geniuses in audio and the driving force behind all the Dynaco gear, wanted to create a solid state version of the legendary Dynaco ST-70 tube amp. Thus, was born the DH-200. The DH-200 circuitry is completely complementary push-pull and drives the MOSFETs with conventional bipolar transistors for amplification. An interesting feature afforded by the MOSFET properties is that the DH-200 has none of (nor does it require) the conventional volt-amp limiters, because the MOSFETs act simply as low valued resistors when turned on and have self-limiting properties (no thermal runaway). Audio Amateur Corporation bench tested this unit to rave reviews. Here's what they had to say: "On the test bench the DH-200's performance is among the most impressive I have read more
