Beautifully detailed Hakata figure of a man. His face is very expressive and stance is dynamic. We think he may be a figure from the Hachioji Matsuri festival and could have been carrying a lantern (see last photo). When we purchased him, whatever he had been carrying was missing. Condition: Painted area on nose and cheek was slightly lightened during cleaning. Scuff on hands from recent packing/unpacking. A few small chips in paing on the back of his kimono and the base. Otherwise in very good vintage condition, no repairs or cracks. Approximate dimensions: Height 11.25" Width 8.125" Depth 3.75" Sold from our nonsmoking, pet-free home.
