Vintage Two and Half Quarts WATT WARE APPLE Ice Water / Milk / Utility Pitcher Description: Offering is for a WATT Ware Pitcher 2 1/ 2 quart utility pitcher having three leaves and one apple. Pitcher measures from base to spout 8 inches high. Pitcher diameter base measures 4 inches and approximately 7 inches wide and reducing to 5 inches at the top. Nice highlighted green leaves, crisp red apple and a butter-cream body. The spout has an ice lip bridge. Overall, a 4-inch wide but firm handle makes holding the pitcher easy. Base is marked with concentric ring and USA , no identification number. Pitcher weighs 2 1/2 pounds . Condition : This is a decorative and functional pitcher, t is some light crazing to both interior and pitcher exterior. Inside the pitcher, t is pottery 'flake chip'. (See Image). It is difficult to determine if this 'flake' is a manufacturing flaw or is from use, regardless the pitcher holds water. T is an exterior image w the 'flake' is located. A 'flea bite' present on exterior spout. (See image). Finally, few characteristics glaze pin pops, common with Watt Pottery. Note: Pitcher has great decorative appeal but remains a practical serving piece. Thanks for looking. Although not rare, the larger pitchers are more difficult to find.
