For your consideration I am offering this vintage clown costume which dates to the 1930s era. The costume is a vivid gold and black fabric garment which I would describe as a bubble suit...an opening on the back side (which secures with metal snaps) allows the wearer to step into the one piece garment for wearing. The costume remains in good shape..it has a few snags and open slits in the seams and one tiny hole on the front side at the collar..these are not ravelled and could be mended quite easy with just a stitch or two. I see a few light stains but nothing major that takes away from the looks of the costume. The hand made hat is lined with an old candy box for added stiffness..I would not try to wash this garment...some time the old black fabric is not color fast and would run onto the gold color. as you can see the costume looks great on my vintage model..the model wears a size 8-10 dress so you can see this is an adult costume. You get a neat scary old black mask with the costume and if you want that old paper black and orange witch hat I will through that in to with the lot. The black paper witch hat is in pretty bad shape but still looks good and adds to the spooky display.
