I recently had my roof replaced & "regrettably" had to remove my WEATHERVANE. It's been up t for about 20 years, survived several hurricanes, AND was an "Antique" when I put it up t Now, I'm "not really" pleased to offer it for your bid. This "Vintage" Weathervane is made of a "hammered finish" cast aluminum that was originally painted black. It comes as an assembly of (4) pieces. The base, that attaches to roof, has adjustable N,S,E &W, compass arms, as shown, and measures about 17" tall X 14" in diameter. The EAGLE & "Spinning" Arrow WIND VANE measures 11" tall X 18" long. The "total" assembled height is 25". The EAGLE & it's "directional" ARROW "rest" atop a "point" on the base assembly & "spins" freely in the direction of the prevailing wind. HEY, IT REALLY WORKS! I've enjoyed looking at it over many years, however, it just does not really fit into the "suburbia" that has grown up around me. The painted finish is well weatd, however, ALL of the parts are intact! This FINE EXAMPLE of "Primitive" Meteorological Instrumentation is in PRETTY GOOD CONDITION for it's age!
