I can't say for 100% sure, but think it is possible that this sign was never used. I do estate liquidations. I found this sign in the estate of a man who had worked for the local beer distributor from the 1950's into the 1960's. There are a number of beer signs in this estate. I already sold a couple of them here last week, and will be selling more as my time allows. This one was found in it's original box, with no packing or info of any kind. (side note .... I would have loved to have kept the box, even tho it was ordinary cardboard with only "Hamm's" printed on it, but trust me, due the various critters that had roamed about it was something of a biological hazard). Other than wiping it down with a damp rag, it is as found. It is very clean. No signs of greasy dirt or bar smoke. There are no cracks, breaks, discolorations, or missing parts. The hanger holes on the back have never been punched out. There are scratches (see pics) on the top of the sign on the right hand side, and a few on the back. Am pretty sure the scratches on the top were caused by the power plug, as it was wound around that end of the sign when found. The sign works perfectly. It does have the "white line" running horizontally thru it. As a lot of you may know many of these signs have the "white line"which is essentially a scratch on the scenic panel. During read more
