Great Vintage hand puppet fresh from a Hudson Valley attic. Part of a set of seven I'm listing today, please check my other listings for more. Am staggering the listings by 15 minutes in case someone wants to keep them all together. All of them are approximately 16 inches tall. My thinking is they are part of an extended Punch and Judy set and are German, from the last quarter of the 1800's but don't recognize some of the characters and am far from an expert. Am assuming composition is wood and Paper Mache based on the interior visible in the first puppet listed. Please study photos carefully for condition, and to determine character.This one is of a smiling skeleton in a lovely floral print dress. Note the open seam in the left armpit. The foot on the left in the close-up is replaced and is not original to the puppet. Everything else is in as found condition.
