~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ Lovely length of Vintage hand woven European hemp/linen~*~ this roll measures 4.4 yards long by 21.5 inches wide ~ This textile is a charming length of Vintage hand-woven European grain sack fabric. This lovely fabric is woven using a natural linen warp weave, and the weft weave is a lovely paler natural cotton. The overall tone is a lovely natural tone~ and when looking closely at the weave, one can see the paler tone of the natural cotton used to weave this lovely fabric. This fabric is a medium open weave, heavy weight. The 4 stripes are a beautiful medium blue tone! This fabric is ideal for table runners, upholstery, pillow fabric and many other wonderful sewing projects! Machine washable!~ ~*~ CONDITION: This beautiful textile is in original, unwashed condition with light storage dirt that will wash beautifully ~*~ ~ ( please see simple machine washing instructions below) ~*~You will never have to pay any Customs or Duty charges on my textiles posted to an address within the United States, as I have already imported all of my European textiles and have paid any fees for you~*~ My shipping is always fast, so you can expect your purchase to arrive between 1-3 days after payment within the USA~*~ ~Please see my store page “ About Hand-woven, Homespun Yardage” for more information on these wonderful textiles ~ This roll in lovely condition with some storage dirt that will wash well. These textiles are so easy to care for, simply machine wash tumble dry, please see instructions below~ ~*~ !!! ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on warm ~ If there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash with your normal detergent! They can be tumbled dry in the dryer! If drying in the dryer, just be sure to check that the textile has not become wrapped around itself as this can cause creases~ ~*~ If you prefer to line dry , simply machine wash and spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. ( this presses the linen naturally!) then line dry. Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage. These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! ~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~ These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to own your own piece of textile history~*~ ~*~These textiles are, by nature, extremely Eco-friendly!
