ORIGINAL 1930s HAWAIIAN "REDWARE" CERAMIC HULA GIRL WITH GRASS HUT + PALM IN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT MINT CONDITION!! - This is a 10 day auction to endure the Memorial day weekend - check out my other listings for more vintage gems and combine them for shipping savings.
This sweet vintage ceramic Hawaiian Hula figurine and her village is 100% original and untouched in its pristine glory. Similar Redware figures can be found on page #164 of Mark Blackburn's book "Hawaiiana - the best of Hawaiian Design". This kneeling Hula girl is made of ceramic redware china with a real dried grass skirt and mini crepe paper lei. The grass hut and palm tree are also made from dried parts of palms & coconuts. Her condition and painted details are just too cute for words as she measures overall @ 4"W X 3"DX 3"H. Everything about her is in perfect condition with virtually no signs of wear or aging. This is undoubtedly one of the finest examples of this classic tourist souveneir from a bygone era that you will ever find on ebay...so Bid to Win!!
