Unbelievable old pair of carved wood warrior tribal heads. Warrior King Kamehameha? These were brought back from Hawaii in the early 70's and several years old at that point. I believe they are made from Koa or Monkey Pod wood. Solid wood with gorgeous coloring and grain. All exquisitely hand carved down to the finest details of each strand of hair and gold metal earrings. Huge! These are very big- you can see from the photo they completely cover our large fireplace. They are approximately 26 inches tall, 15 inches wide and 2.5 inches thick. Both are in very good vintage condition with only some light scuffing. One has a natural crack starting in the wood grain on the back side which needs some glue to prevent it from going any further. Both have smooth backs and sturdy wire hangers for wall mounting or you can lean them against the wall as well. These make a dramatic focal point and a powerful statement in any room. A rare pair- you won't find these any where else. Very low starting bid!
