Heathcote China Bluebirds tea set · A beautiful set of four trios (teacups, saucers & tea plates) & a sandwich plate & bread plate (I am not an expert on china so apologies if I have named these incorrectly, but you can see what they are in the photographs!) · Registration number dates this set to c.1909 – so over 100 years old! · Elegant bluebirds painted on a crisp white background with pretty light blue trim on rims, edges & handles · Some little signs of wear to some of the trim (mainly on the oval plate) & some birds on large plates a little worn (cups, saucers & tea plates are mostly nice & crisp looking). Small area photographed on underside of rim on oval plate – this does not feel rough so I am loathe to say it is a chip, more a dark mark maybe where glaze has worn away? · A really elegant & very unusual antique set which would grace any tea table or china cabinet! Would be a beautiful addition if you are collecting vintage china for a vintage style wedding (nice to have non-floral patterns for the men!)
