This great, 1970s-vintage, Heathkit SW-717, 4-band, transistor tabletop radio is in excellent physical and working condition , except as noted below. Brand : Heathkit Model : SW-717 Year : 1970s (from another web site) # of Transistors : 8 (info from another web site) Overall Condition : excellent Working Condition : works fine, pulling stations across the AM band (band A); no stations were picked up on Bands B, C, or D, but I did not connect a ground or external antenna, so those bands may well work Bands : A (550 - 1500 kHz), B (1.5 - 4.0 MHz), C (4.0 - 10.0 MHz), D (10.0 - 30.0 MHz); markings for Standard, Marine, Weather, Amateur, Intl. BC, WWV, and CB Cabinet : black crinkled painted metal, no chips, gouges, cracks, or deep scratches, but some small nicks on top; the plastic dial face-plate has no cracks, chips or scratches; all rubber feet are in great shape Chassis : working and appears undamaged; the speaker is attached to the inside of the cabinet with glued rubber blocks which may come loose so extra packing will be used to hold that in place Back : present and undamaged; antenna on outside and intact Labels : power info print directly on the back; small metal plate inside with model and serial numbers Power : 120-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz, 8 W Power Cord & Plug : both appear to be original and are in excellent used condition read more
