Up for auction is a Vintage Henriot Quimper Cornucopia Wallpocket. The wall pocket has the original hanging string. The colors are very bright. The front has an excellent handpainted picture of a Petite Bretonne peasant woman holding what looks like a large carrot. The cobalt blue is very dark and rich looking. The front is covered with handpainting designs. The top of the cornucopia has a scalloped wavy look. Very beautiful piece of Quimper. Measurements: .9" long. Top is 4" wide. Top opening is 5" long. Signed on base HenRiot Quimper France 42. (The number is difficult to read). Condition: Excellent with the usual Quimper manufacturing glaze skips, imperfections in the pottery, extra paint in the glaze, glazed over flakes, and extra pottery. The back shows the lines w the wall pocket sat when drying. NO chips,hairlines, flakes,or repairs. Looks Unused. NO water staining. Please check out my other auctions for two more Quimper pieces.
