This auction is for a wonderful Octagonal Soup or Vegetable Tureen and matching Platter. Brought back from France many years ago as a present, it was never used. The set is in the bright yellow Soleil pattern. The platter measures 17 inches by 11 1/2 inches and decorated with a peasant couple. The Tureen measures 8 inches tall up to the top of the knob. It measures 14 inches across with handles and the octagon cover measures 10 1/2 inches by 10 1/2 inches. Again, this tureen is decorated with a matching peasant woman. The bottom is marked Henriot Quimper France F303 D301. Very hard to find set in excellent condition-unused, just displayed in a cabinet.
