You are bidding on an "original & authentic" signed Herman Miller vintage 670 Lounge Chair & matching 671 Ottoman. It comes to you in absolutely fantastic condition being nearly mint with no damage to wood or seats. The wood definitely appears to be rosewood as I have had others in walnut and in cherry but this has all the color and graining of rosewood. This is a mid-century classic set that does not show up as a matched pair in this condition very often and it is "vintage" but still looks new. Also best of all it has the original Herman Miller and factory labels. The covering color is a "dark chocolate brown" and is supple and soft with only a few very minor surface scratches and t but you have to look hard to find those. Also has the original "domes of silence" marked caster glides. T is one missing from one ottoman foot but these are easily replaced and can be obtained from the Herman Miller website or from Ebay. You really must sit in this chair to appreciate it's style and comfortability. The sofa behind the gallery picture is not included but is a vintage Thayer-Coggin and will be sold as a seperate Ebay auction. This chair and ottoman set is being sold with "NO RESERVE" so everyone has a chance so don't hesitate This set will be shipped via Greyhound Express to provide the lowest shipping cost. Can be shipped for only $99 anyw in the domestic US. International bidders are welcome to bid but must provide all the shipping arrangements and absorb the entire shipping cost. Thanks to a helpful tip from an Ebayer I have confirmed that this chair has 5 layers of plywood verifying that "this is indeed Rosewood" as the newer Walnut and Cherry contain 7 layers. Thanks !
