This listing is a pattern known as "Harlequin" by the Homer Laughlin, a ceramic company that was founded sometime in the second half of the 1800's. This pattern was designed to be sold F W Woolworth by Frederick Rhead as a less expensive dinnerware answer to the already popular Fiesta. Both Fiesta, and Harlequin were introduced in the 1930's. The major design element was concentric circled on a streamline Art Deco inspired shape. The Chartreuse color represented in this listing was produced from around 1956 until it was discontinued in 1964. Unlike Fiesta, Harlequin was unsigned except for the pieces made in for Woolworth's 100th Anniversary in1979.If you are the winner of this listing for this vintage covered vegetable dish, I believe that you will enjoy it as much as I have. However, I do accept returns.
