~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beatufiul hand-woven roll of vintage European linen and cotton roll measuring 18 feet by 22 inches wide~*~ (5.5 meters by 56cm) What a lovely roll, just in time for Christmas! This fabric is a darling, hand woven roll of Vintage fabric, woven with a cotton warp and a linen weft. This roll has a nice bright look with a beautiful double green stripe~*~ This fabric would make a beautiful table runner, placemats ~ just add little appliques to add charm~ or lovely and simply country charm as is! It would also make a wonderful Christmas tree skirt! This roll is in wonderful wonderful unused condition!!! . ~*~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on 40 or 60 celcius..if t is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and t is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage. These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! New Hemp can be soaked in water for 3 days and then washed on regular cycle to soften or one can use liquid fabric softener if desired. Most of my rolls don't tend to need any additional help with softening as they have a lovely texture as is~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are innt ...adding to their rustic charm~*~ These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years.
