Up for auction I have a vintage Pentax Asahi Honeywell in all black. I am not a camera expert and am not sure of what things it may need to be in perfect working condition but I will do my best to describe everything. After a little bit of research I think this is the Asahi Pentax S1a second release. It has a little orange "R" for the rewind which helped for figuring this out. It seems to have come out between 1964 to 1968. Top is marked with a "K" and No 175325. The back is also stamped Asahi Optical Co Japan. Because I know so little of the working condition this sale is AS IS. I don't know why though that any camera shop or expert would have issues working on it. There is some cosmetic wear to the black areas of the camera where it shows age wear as you can see in the pics. Probably also needs a thorough cleaning. Various light scratches and scuffs to the body. I pulled the lever back and pushed the button to see if I could tell if the shutter opens and closes but I couldn't see movement.The lens has its original cap which shows some wear. There is a filter on top of the lens which is a Vivitar Skylight Filter 58mm 1A which is very clean and shiny. The lens attached to the camera is a Super Takumar 1:3.5/28 Asahi Opt Co Lens made in Japan 1049226. Lens looks really clean without any scuffs or scratches. The shutter is closed because read more
