This is a large glass butter churn or beater jar that is approximately 15" high and 6-1/2" square with rounded corners. The jar is made of thick glass, has a silver-colored metal lid with the churning mechanism with wood handle, the paddle looks to be heavy aluminum, and t's a round hole at the top with strainer insert. On one side of the jar are two (2) blue decals with, "Horlick's" and, "The Original Malted Milk". It also has, "Made In U.S.A.". On another side of the jar is, "6 QT" in embossed lettering. T are no markings that I can find as to the manufacturer of the churn. The jar is in good condition with some wear and losses to the decals, t is generalized rusting on the metal lid, and it looks like the handle might have had red paint at one time but most of it has worn off. I'm not sure how old this piece is but I would guess it to be easily of vintage years. All shipping is based on zip codes and is the responsibility of the high bidder. This jar is quite heavy at 8 lbs (unboxed) so I'll shop around for the least expensive carrier, most likely DHL or FedEx. Insurance would be included with these options. I DO NOT accept Paypal in any form . Payment by personal check ( held 10 business days ) or money order is expected within 10 days of auction's end and Illinois residents must add 6.50% sales tax. Canadian bidders should expect to pay via an International money order and please be aware that I do not alter customs forms. Email with questions and please check my other auctions.
