Vintage HTF 1960's 'Happy-Go-Lucky' Bobble-Head Troll Here's a Very Old and HTF Bobble-Head Troll from the 1960's. It was known as 'Happy-Go-Lucky, The Good Luck Mascot'. This one has 'Happy-Go-Lucky' hand painted on the front of it's green base and JAPAN painted on the bottom. Not many of these Little Mascots survived the years intact. They are made of some type of hard composite, a ceramic/chalk type mixture. The Head is hollow, about 1/8 inch thick. The Body looks solid but if you tap it, it has a hollow sound, it is sturdy though. It has Flesh tone skin with Rosy painted highlights. There is a thick spring that is solidly attached to the neck of the body. The Head sits upon it and 'Bobbles'. It stands appx. 5 1/4" tall by 2 1/4" wide. It has Pinkish-brown Clear Eyes and the Hair is a White Synthetic Mohair-type Crimped Material. There is double-sided tape residue on the bottom. The tape allowed it to attach/sit on your car's dashboard. For this reason, not many survived without breaking or chipping. This was one of the truly Lucky Ones! It has been displayed in a glass case for nearly 50 years! There are no Nicks, Chips or repairs on this Guy. However, there is a hairline crack on the underneath of the head rim but the head is solid and it does not show or affect this piece. It is a GREAT vintage Troll and perfect for ANY Special Troll Collection. ALL of the Trolls offered in our auctions come from our own personal collection spanning nearly 50 years. While most of these little guys are older now, they have been protected and cherished throughout the years and NEVER played with or WASHED and come from a SMOKE-FREE environment. Each one is unique, some more rare than others. They come from a time where the internet didn’t exist…unimaginable. The ‘hunt’ for these rare jewels was a commitment and an adventure in itself. Some were found in flea markets, others at swap meets and some in antique stores. They come from trips all over the United States, overseas and even as far as Japan. Some trolls are in better condition than others but they all stand the test of time. Our wish is that they continue to bring your family as much love and happiness as they have ours.
