Up for auction is this circa 1920 cast iron doorstop lamp. The doorstop can be removed from the lamp base if only a doorstop is desired. This doorstop is Dolly Dimple made by Hubley. I guarentee this door stop to be authentic 1920's vintage. This doorstop has all of the qualities of an old one. It has a very tight side seam, smooth finish, and detailed painting that the reproduction does not have. I also purchased this from a house w most items were old. Dolly Dimple stands 8 inches tall. She is screwed onto a base that is 1 inch tall. The entire lamp is 12 1/2 inches tall. The base of the lamp was made by Hubley as well . The paint on this doorstop is excellent. I would call it a 9. T is some minor chipping on the bottom of her dress. T are also some minor chips on her bonnet and parasol. The base of the lamp has some very light rust around the feet. The socket on the lamp is new, and the lamp cord is not original, but not new either.The lamp works well, and appears to be safe to use. This character, Dolly Dimple was created by Grace Drayton . She also created the Campbell Kids. Shipping will be $18.00 due to the heavy nature of the doorstop.
