This auction is for a nice vintage souvenir from Hawaii. I would date the doll to around the 1950's but not completely sure. The doll is made of ceramic and is in two pieces...the top piece (from the waist up) is attached to the bottom by a spring, to make the top dance around, sort of like a bobblehead. The grass skirt covers the spring so you don't see it. Doll stands approximately 9 3/4" tall and is approximately 3 3/4" across the bottom of the base. The doll is holding a ceramic ukelele, and has a cloth lei around her neck and a fabric flower in her hair. The doll tips back slightly, don't know if this was intended or if the spring is a little worn. The whole thing could use a good cleaning, but will leave that to the new owner. T are no marks on the bottom that I can see, only lettering is the HAWAII on the front of the base. T is a little of the green paint missing from the back of the base, but could probably be fixed easily, or not noticeable from the front. Overall a great vintage collectible souvenir from Hawaii.
