I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of vintage original Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is a lovely signed piece from Hull Pottery, a Bow Knot pattern No. B-18 5 3/4" Jardiniere. It was manufactured in the late '40's. This adorable planter measures approximately 5" tall, 7.5" wide across the widest part, and 3" across the base. The bottom has raised markings "U.S.A. , Hull Art, B-18 - 5 3/4"." It is in near perfect condition. T are a few tiny black pindots and tiny pimples and t The inside walls and bottom are clean and pristine, showing no signs of use. T's a teensy flake out of the edge of the base. Some very mild crazing on one side in the white. That's it, and I'm being very picky - t are no chips, cracks or repairs on this piece. This matte finish Bowknot Jardiniere is gorgeously colored - the background is a turquoise blue at the top with the trademark ribbon bows cleverly used as handles, in rose pink. It shades to a clear white, which makes a nice contrast with the flowers, and then to mint green on the bottom. Rose, blue and yellow flowers with green leaves decorate the front and back. A wonderful Hull piece for your collection. 2003 Book Value on this piece was $235 - $275, I have no idea what it runs now. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures.
