I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of vintage original Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is a lovely signed piece from Hull Pottery, a Bow Knot pattern No. B-25 6 1/2" Basket. It was manufactured in the late '40's. This charming basket measures approximately 6.5" tall, 5.25" wide across the widest part, and 3" across the base. The bottom has raised markings "U.S.A. , Hull Art, B-25 - 6 1/2." It is in near perfect condition. T are a very few tiny black pindots and tiny pimples and t The inside walls and bottom are clean and pristine, showing no signs of use. The paint's a bit sloppy around the base, and in a few other places the artist colored outside the lines... That's it, and I'm being very picky - t are no chips, cracks or repairs on this piece. This matte finish Bowknot Basket is brightly colored - the background is a turquoise blue at the top with the trademark ribbon bow in rose pink. It shades to white, and then to mint green on the bottom. The green speckles into the white, looks like it was done intentionally. Rose and yellow flowers with green leaves decorate the front. A sweet little Hull piece for your collection. 2003 Book Value on this piece was $325 - $385, I have no idea what it runs now. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures.
