I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of vintage original Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I love to combine shipping and if you are looking for a particular piece, just let me know. If she has it, I can arrange a special auction for you. A rare chance to obtain hard-to-find pieces to add to your collection at bargain prices, especially if you take advantage of combined shipping. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is a wild colored piggy! Made by Hull Pottery, a Corky Pig piggy bank. It was manufactured in the late '50's. This charming little dude measures approximately 5" tall, 5.5" wide and 7" long. The bottom has impressed markings "PAT PEND, Corky Pig, (c) USA, 1957, HPCo." The later versions listed the patent number, so the Patent Pending on this one indicates an earlier model. He is in excellent condition. T is no crazing anyw t is a small roughish spot w the glaze is light just on the tippy-top of his snout. He has two little "pimples" on his back and one on his bum, otherwise he is smooth as a baby's bottom. He has his original red cork stopper plug with brass ring - the cork has a chunk out of the front (see photos) and the initials "Y.C." on the inside. His blue tail has a couple of yellow dots on it. That's it! I'm being very picky - t are no chips, cracks or repairs on this piece. This glossy finish Corky Pig Bank is quite colorful with robins egg blue and mauve red trim on a background of bright sunny yellow. He has blue ears with red tips, blue shoulders, feet and tail and the sweetest long eyelashes. He also has a red forelock, and red spots on his cheeks, chest, shoulders, back, and behind. In addition, he has the blue, yellow, and red "bull's eye" marks on each chubby little butt cheek. What a cutie! A fun Hull piece for your collection. 2003 Book Value was $140 - $175, I have no idea what it runs now. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures. Please ask any questions before bidding to make sure you are happy with your purchase, as all sales are final unless I've made a big boo-boo, like shipping you the wrong item or making a gross error in the description. Thank you! Non-smoking home. Check out my other listings and save on combined shipping while adding to your collection. I only charge actual shipping - no padding. Please let me know when you are done shopping and I will send a combined invoice with shipping discount. Insurance is required on all breakable or high-value items to protect both of us. SORRY, NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. PLEASE BID ONLY IF YOU HAVE A U.S. ADDRESS TO SHIP TO. THANKS!
