I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of vintage original Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is an exquisite older piece from Hull Pottery, an Orchid pattern No. 303 - 4 3/4" Vase. It was manufactured in the late '30's. This beautiful two handled vase measures approximately 4.75" tall, 3.25" wide, and 2.25" across the base. The bottom has impressed markings "HULL, USA, 303 - 4 3/4"." It is in near perfect condition, especially considering it is 70 years old. T is no crazing on the exterior display surfaces and only a small amount on the inside bottom. T are virtually none of the usual Hull spots, dots, marks and pimples - a few small marks that look like pencil marks but otherwise near perfect - clean and smooth. The inside walls and bottom are clean, slightly darker at the bottom. I'm being very picky - t are no chips, cracks or repairs on this beautiful piece. This matte finish Orchid Vase has a background of rose pink shading to soft blue. The colors are lovely and compliment the floral design nicely. Two pink and yellow orchid flowers with green leaves adorn the front and and one decorates the back. The floral pattern is crisp, with excellent relief. A wonderful Hull piece for your collection. 2003 Book Value on this piece was $120 - $145, I have no idea what it runs now. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures.
