I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of vintage original Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. This is an lovely older piece from Hull Pottery, an Orchid pattern No. 310 - 9 1/2" Jardiniere. It was manufactured in the late '30's. This beautiful HUGE two handled planter pot measures approximately 6.25" tall, 10" wide, and 5" across the base - did I mention that this baby is HUGE????! The bottom has impressed markings "HULL, USA, 310 - 9 1/2"." It is in excellent condition, especially considering it is 70 years old. T is some faint crazing on the inside and bottom, but none on the outside. T are virtually none of the usual Hull spots, dots, marks and pimples - pretty clean and smooth. T are some glazed over indents and bumps and t, but as you can see from the pictures, they are hardly noticeable. The inside walls and bottom are clean and pristine, other than a few rough spots in the glaze on the very bottom. I'm being very picky - t are no chips, cracks or repairs on this beautiful piece. This matte finish Orchid Vase has a background of peach shading to rose pink. The color is lovely and compliments the floral design nicely. A large pink and yellow orchid flower with green leaves adorns each side. The floral design has excellent relief. A wonderful RARE (and HUGE) Hull piece for your collection. 1999 Book Value on this piece was $450, I have no idea what it runs now. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures. Please ask any questions before bidding to make sure you are happy with your purchase, as all sales are final unless I've made a big boo-boo, like shipping you the wrong item or making a gross error in the description.
