Here is a really cute old Hull Pottery cat or kitten. It's mouth is in an 'O' shape so it looks like it is is howling, screeching or maybe "caterwauling". This little guy is not marked. Most of these types small novelty figures and planters from Hull are not.This little Turquoise Cat is a tiny planter. It has not been used as such and has been on display in my kitchen for many years. I have sometimes used it for a single flower such as a gardenia, a rose bud, or as I have shown in the last photo, a single plumeria bloom that has fallen during a recent storm. It measures 4" tall by 3 1/4" long by 1 1/2" from front to back and is in great condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There are a couple of tiny places where the glaze did not cover completely which is common in this type of pottery. Nothing that distracts from the "cuteness" of this little sweetie. I will miss this little Aqua cat. But it is time to move it on to another home to be appreciated. Thank you for viewing my item.
