You are bidding on one (1) VINTAGE HUNGARIAN HAND EMBROIDERED KALOCSA-MATYO WITH FRINGE. Kalocsa needlework originated in southern Hungary and are embroidered designs on white or pastel colored fabrics. Daisies, marigolds, cornflowers, poppies, lilies, tulips and roses furnish the colorful motifs . O riginally a ladies shawl, is a stunning example of Kalocsa and/or Matyo folk art. It measures 56in x 17in with 8in macrame fringe. The floral embroidery pattern is 4in wide and with scattered flowers. It is gently used and well cared for.
