VINTAGE"HUNTER" aka "WOODSMAN"NEW MARTINSVILLE GLASSFIGURINE - FIGUREMODEL NUBMER 487I SHIP WORLDWIDE Being offered in this sale is a CLEAR pressed glass figurine in the shape of a HUNTER or WOODSMAN that was made by the New Martinsville Glass Company in the early 1940s. You can find an example of this piece illustrated in New Martinsville Glass, 1900 - 1944 by Measell on page 213. It measures 7 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter across the base. According the the author this figure was made with either a square or round base. This one has the round base which I believe is more scarce. The condition is excellent. T are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. Please feel free to email with any questions. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described.
