You are looking at an antique / vintage Hurricane - Gone With The Wind Lamp with amber glass globe and shade. I can't tell you who the maker was or the exact date it was made, but I would guess it was made in the 1950's.

I am not sure that the upper shade is the original shade because the upper shade is a Coin Dot pattern and the lower globe is a Thumbprint Pattern. They look very good together though. Both the amber glass globe and shade are in excellent condition and have no chips or cracks. The base is a bronze colored metal and the cord and wiring is the original and in good condition. The lamp is in great condition and has just been cleaned up and did not need restoring.

The lamp is 18 inches tall, the bottom globe is 8 inches in diameter, the top shade is 7 inches in diameter, and the base is 6 ½ inches wide or 8 inches diagonally from foot to foot. The lamp has a 3 Way socket, so you can light just the bottom, just the top, or both lights at once.

I accept PayPal, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Personal Checks. Personal Checks will be subject to a 7 day waiting period before shipping the item.

The shipping weight will be about 10 lbs. and I will ship via the Post Office, UPS, or Fed Ex.... Your choice. I do not appreciate being charged excessive shipping costs, tfore I do not charge excessive shipping costs. Shipping costs are high enough as it is. I will charge exact shipping and a handling charge for packing materials when necessary. The handling charge would rarely be more than $1.50 depending on the size of the item. If I underestimate the shipping charge, I will eat the difference. If I overestimate the shipping charge you will be refunded for the difference.

Insurance is your responsibility and I will not be responsible for items that are not insured by the buyer. UPS and Fed Ex automatically insure packages up to $100, but the Post Office charges for all insurance.

Most of the items I will be listing will be stock from my father's antique business. He was an electrician, as I am, and he also was an antique dealer, no longer in business. Many of the light fixtures I will be listing have been restored. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through the Ebay messaging system.
