As you can see from the picture a quite stunning stuffed fox and grey female grouse, more commonly known as a GREY HEN (Taxidermy) that are both mounted and caged or glass boxed.

From research i believe this set to be from J Hutchings, this has been confirmed by several fellow kind ebayers. Hutchings used foxes on a regular basis, but very rarely female grouse as the prey, i have not seen another like this and believe this to be one of the more examples of his work.
It is in PRISTINE condition and as good as the day it was made, it is quite large the case is about 3" tall, (I forgot to measaure it-sorry!) The detail is quite superb, sadly due to a berevement it has to go, it has been in the family for at least 50 years if not more, has not been opened, tampered with, picked up, dropped, messed with etc. Only admired by all who have looked at it. It has always been kept away from windows and sunlight and consequently the colours are quite superb!
NEW to the market.

As you can appreciate delivery is not an option, collection is most welcome or possible other arrangements can be made, as the glass seems very thin and i would really not like it to be damaged in any way, therefore i would prefer cash on collection only.

I am open to offers for the set and i hope you will agree it is quite a magnificent thing of vintage beauty, which will be missed, but now we really do not have anywhere to put it, hence a reluctant family sale.
