Hutzler's , or Hutzler Brothers Company , was a wonderful department store that we believe was founded in Baltimore by Abram G. Hutzler in 1858. The company started out with a small dry goods store at the corner of Howard and Clay Streets in the downtown area of Balitimore. The Hutzler's eventually grew that store into a chain of 10 department stores, all located in Maryland. The company ceased operations in the late 1980's. This key chain is most likely circa 1960 or 50's. New with the original tag of $1.50. The airplane has three letters that appear to be STE. Maybe sterling under gold. There is a small natural turquoise nugget as well. Very cool item. Charms feature:A gold tone sailboat, a Shepard carrying a sheep or goat, an airplane, a classic car and a turquoise nugget. Thank you for stopping in to have a look at this piece of history from a beloved Maryland Department Store.
