Hi. you are looking at a vintage or Antique Toy.This is a pirate ship. It was made by the Ideal Toy company somewhere in the late 1950's or 1960's.It is still in it original box , which doubled as a display case. The box is still in nice shape considering the age , but it does have some creases , stains , and tears.The ship is made of plastic and has a blue hull , red decks , blue masts with white rigging , and yellow sails.This boat was able to go in the water or used as a pull toy. It has 4 wheels on the bottom.One of the wheels is broken off its axle but can be glued back .It comes with seven ( 7 ) white , rubber or soft plastic pirates,a skull and cross bones flag,a crows nest for the top of the mast,and an anchor. There is a gang plank mounted on the port side , and an empty spot on the starboard side where i think a cannon should be.From the picture on the box it also looks like there should be a row boat with oars and a steering wheel , but like the cannon these pieces are missing. This toy is model # 4037 and was made by the ideal toy company in Hollis Queens , New York . This toy is in overall very nice condition but will need a good cleaning.
