Vintage Illinois Automobile Club License Plate Topper

Item for bid is one Illinois Automoble Club License Plate Topper. This topper features a die stamped and coined emblem that is nickle plated and has brilliant red and black enamal lettering. (It is made just like a 20's or 30's auto radiator emblem). Emblem measures 4 inches tall and is 2 and 3/6 wide at the widest point. Steel mounting bracket is 8 inches long and the bolt holes are 7 and 5/8 inches center to center. Emblem has the IAC crest in red and black, "Illinois Automobile Club" in black with the N.A.A. letters in red. T is also some small raised lettering that says "Affiliated with National Automobile Association". This item has never been mounted and is in near perfect condition. The only minor flaw is a couple of spots on the black paint of the bracket. This is as nice as they get.Ready to put on that restored cr or a great shelf piece. I have had this in my collection for almost 30 years but it is time to let a few things go. Remember, items lke this are only mint once and it pays in the long run to collect quality. TERMS: Buyer to pay for shipping and insurance if desired. Boxed mailing to your USA address will be $5.00. Insurance at post office rates. (new rates start at $1.65 for first $50.00 coverage) I accept US postal money orders for next day shipment. Personal checks are OK but will delay shipment until the check clears the bank. No paypal.
