THESE PIECES ARE DATED ON THE REVERSE AND WERE PRODUCED BY NORITAKE CHINA FOR THE IMPERIAL HOTEL PRIOR TO THE DEMOLITION OF THE HOTEL IN 1968

SCOTTSDALE - Treasures from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives will be among items in the silent and online auction at this year's Ninth Annual Great Treasure Hunt at Taliesin West.
The gala begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with cocktails on the Sunset Terrace at the base of the McDowell Mountains and overlooking the Valley. Taliesin West is at 12621 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd.
Guests will be invited to tour the newly restored private quarters of Olgivanna and Frank Lloyd Wright and take part in a silent auction. Following will be a sit-down dinner under the stars in the Garden Squares area of the architectural campus. The Great Treasure Hunt is the only event in the nation w individuals can bid both online and at the event itself on rare Wright memorabilia. The public also will have a chance to bid on items from the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection.
One treasure on display in the Wright Living Room will be a rosewood music box, "Enitharmon," made by Reuge Sainte-Croix of Switzerland, a gift to Mrs. Wright. Inside the box, the winning bidder will find three musical pieces composed by Taliesin's creative hostess. Minimum bid: $4,000.
Another rare archival release is a place setting of Imperial Hotel china that was designated for the hotel's Cabaret Dining Room. The settings are in "mint condition in their original wrappings," said Sara Hammond, FLW archivist. Minimum bid: $1,500.
