Talk about dazzling aurora borealis!! The green is outstanding and sparkles along with shades of blues, pinks, and golds, coming out of these beautiful dishes!!
An almost perfect 8 piece (4 cups-4 plates) set of green carnival glass, dug out of a box(not wrapped!!) that has been stored for years, and in good condition for the place and shape in which they were found!!
I washed them lightly, but they have a bit of a film in places, especially crevices/rims. They could stand a good cleaning, but I am afraid I'll break them!!
Each tray measure about 10 1/4" by 8 1/4". The cups are dainty and measure about 3 3/4" diameter.
Each piece is in great condition except 3 of the snack trays, which have minor troubles.
One has a flea bite on the mold line around the outer edge of the plate, but doesn't come through the rim. It is 1/16" wide.
Another has a hairline crack in a curve on the rim, and is 1/8" length.
The 3rd one has a tiny chip inside on a curve.
While packing to weigh, I marked each with a piece of tape to easily spot. (I tried to take a picture to include the chip, but it just looks like a bubble in the glass...Sorry.)
I had to get in the sunlight, and use a jeweler's loupe to see them!
Nice enough to use! Or as replacements!
