This is a simply GORGEOUS old vintage industrial stool. Designed most likely for drafting. Made by Goodform. A little bit machine age and deco in style, a little bit mid-century modern. Base is apparently cast aluminum, while adjustment mechanisms for the seat appear to be iron. Swivels to adjust height on a heavy cast iron threaded rod. Seat angle and back angle adjust via mechanisms under the seat. All appear to work well. Height adjustment could probably use a good oiling - while it works well, I think it would loosen up a bit. Seat height goes from about 22" to about 29" - though the 29" is on the high end, and looked a bit tippy to me! I believe the seat and back of this may have been covered once, and could probably be recovered. (On the website, they have a similar stool for sale with a red seat and back cover.) However, the metal seat is ergonomically molded for one's tuchus, and it's very comfortable as is. The look of the punctured bare metal is stunning - it gives such a great industrial aesthetic to the piece. Honestly, I've been coveting stools like this for a couple years, and this is the coolest-looking one I've seen. No reserve. Low starting bid. What's not to love? I strongly (strongly!) prefer pickup in Haverhill, Massachusetts, 01835. Close to Boston, Maine, NH, Vermont, and just a few hours from NYC. I don't read more
