Hello, thanks for browsing.Up today is a vintage drafting stool, probably by the Angle Steel Company, based in Michigan. This is just an educated guess based on my experience, no tags or marks bear this name. 's what I know: Stool is of riveted steel construction, all rivets intact. Angled steel was used to form the base with the legs bent and flattened at their ends to form the feet. Seat was painted a bad maroon when found, has been stripped of paint and given a wax/oil finish. Small flaw in seat was formerly filled with wood filler, (see foto) filler has been removed because, well, I liked the flaw better. I know that's a lot of F's. Seat is sturdy and measures 14" in diameter. Top of seat stands 27" from floor. Crossbracing of legs is sturdy and adds a nice detail. Original industrial green paint remains, surface rust is evident. Steel frame has been waxed to inhibit rust and reveal character of steel and paint. Adds a nice glow. Stool may originally had a back rest with it, as evidenced by the two holes on the circular part of the frame. If it did have a backrest it is long gone. That's what I know, please ask all questions and I will respond as best as I can. Winning bidder has 7 days from auctions end to make good on payment, stool should ship within 3 days of receipt of payment. Thanks and have fun. Db70
