The is a vintage metal character bank and it was acquired from an estate. The bank is in the image of Iowa Hawkeye's Herky the Hawk(eye) wearing a football helmet and posing. { G O H AW KE YE S ! !! !! } The bank has been used. There is corrosion on the metal. It measures about 5 1/2" tall and about 5 1/4" wide. The top of his football helmet reads IOWA His number is 24 on his back. This base reads Special Edition The bottom of the base reads OFFICIALLY LICENSED UNIVERSITY OF IOWA Please note, this is not the original old bank...but a special edition that came out later..but this is still a very collectible piece. Condition - good. Again it has been used. There is metal wear and loss to it. Otherwise it is in good condition and will be sold as is.
